Garden Design Proposal

This option is for a "blank slate" garden that needs a full design and/or installation or a major renovation. A certified horticulturist will visit your home and provide a free site evaluation of your garden (soil test, site measurements, aspect, plant inventory, etc.) and interview you relating to garden usage, family needs, style, etc.

Gardens by Joan will then follow up in two weeks time with a written proposal (this may be longer during the months of April and May). This proposal includes a site evaluation, design ideas, plant list, budget estimate, installation schedule, vendor referrals for work Gardens by Joan does not perform (patio laying, fence installation, large tree pruning, etc.) and rough drawings of the design concepts. A 2-D schematic drawing on vellum will be provided when the final garden plan is decided upon.

Garden design proposals usually range from $1,000 to $3,000 and up depending on site. The payment schedule is in thirds: 1/3 due upfront, 1/3 due upon approval of rough drawings, 1/3 due upon delivery of the final drawing.
